Course Overview

The course explains the methodology of setting up a Web, Mail and Squid-Proxy server. It also educates the participants about the features such as managing access to the internet. At the end of course, the participants will be able to confidently handle Linux and windows Operating System, its features and administration. The course is based on latest version of CentOS and Windows server 2008. As the concepts are discussed in general and independent of the distribution or version, the participants will be able to apply the knowledge and experiences gained by the course to any Linux/Unix distribution.

The purpose of this program is to familiarize the participants on setting up a Linux and windows server, system administration and management of networks. To provide participants’ thorough knowledge on administrating Free and Open-Source (FOSS) server based solutions, starting from the basics of setting up a secured server along with hands on lab sessions.
